Code of conduct

As you contribute to the discussions and share your thoughts, please keep the following rules in mind.

In terms of the content you contribute, we ask that it be:

  • Reasonably concise as well as relevant to the original post and subsequent discussion
  • Written in English, whenever possible
  • Respectful – we see no need for malicious or offensive content
  • Free of swear words and obscenities
  • Rightfully yours to publish. If you are not the original author, please make sure that you have the express written consent of the copyright holder before posting
  • Short, if in reference to news articles from other sources, with a summary and link to the article
  • Linked to other informational web sites, when applicable and relevant to the discussion, However, we highly discourage linking to commercial sites which are not relevant to the subjects being discussed

Please follow the following code of conduct in terms of behavior:

  • Do not incite hatred on the basis of race, religion, gender, nationality or sexuality, and do not make a comment that is otherwise objectionable
  • Do not make libelous claims
  • Do not spam. Posting content containing the same or similar messages multiple times is not polite
  • Do not repeatedly post offensive comments about anyone engaged in the discussions. This may qualify as harassment and will be subject to legal action against those responsible. We reserve the right to remove such messages
  • Do not falsely claim to be or represent a person or organization
  • Do not describe or encourage activities that could endanger the safety or well-being of others
  • Respect and protect the privacy of individuals (yours and someone else’s): please do not post phone numbers, addresses, or any other private information
