Inaugural publication in peer-reviewed journal

PFMD published its first major article, entitled Culture and process change as a priority for patient engagement in medicines development, in the peer-reviewed journal, Therapeutic Innovation & Regulatory Science (TIRS).

Marc Boutin, Chief Executive Officer of the US National Health Council (NHC) and PFMD founding member, was lead author of the publication, aided by co-authors from patient groups, public health bodies and some of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies.

The article argues that a global environment that embraces and facilitates patient engagement is essential to medicine development, but is only attainable if we remove barriers and promote effective implementation.
